Geographia - Réservation de table

The Restaurant is cute and loud as you are sitting on top of the next table. That said the atmosphere is good. Service is shoddy and surprisingly inattentive given the few tables. The owner is clearly in charge and a character. Very assertive and rather opinionated but overall pleasant. The big issue is the food. They claim a geographic experience with Portuguese linked International dishes. Unfortunately not one of them stacks up against the real thing. It's an interpretation and a shadow of the quality and flavors that one would expect from the genuine article. So bottom line...if one wants a quick taste trip around the Portuguese diaspora then fine, just don't expect the real article.

Geographia calls itself Foo that speaks Portuguese. A casual spot with Portuguese dishes from around the world. The restaurant is on a corner in a quiet neighborhood. I started with a caipirinha that was fine. The nutty Azietau cheese and chutney was the starter. I had a complete duck leg in a spicy (not hot) Macau style oyster sauce. The duck was very tender and satisfyingly meaty. I also ordered a side of coco rice (cooked in coconut milk with flaked coconut . I used the papadams to soak up the sauce. I left nothing.

Wonderful dinner, with great service from waiter Lucas, and creative and delicious food. We started with the local sheep’s cheese (a bit salty but still good), and then the tasting menu — which consisted of 3 apps, 2 main courses and 3 desserts. It was a lot, but not overwhelming, and we ate every bite. Standouts were the dim sum, the samosas, the shrimp, the duck and the coconut custard. We had a very drinkable wine for 22 euros. We thought the whole experience was a great value.

Stumbled across the Geographia by accident, looking for somewhere for dinner, what a result the food and the service was up there with the very best. The menu was a fusion of Portuguese from across the globe. Beautifully cook fresh food that was to behold, if you are visiting Lisboa put this little oasis on you to do list Réservez une table maintenant

We had dinner twice at this wonderful restaurant during our 6-day stay in Lisbon. We enjoyed so much our first visit, that we had to come back. And the dinner and service was just as perfect as the first time. Our highest recommendations. Dorthe and Martin

The food was delicious. We ate pica ha and rice with shrimps. The theme of the restaurant is clever and decorations are beautiful
