The George consistently amazes us with its outstanding food, exceptional presentations, and excellent staff. The cleanliness of the restaurant is impeccable and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Just when I thought they couldn't get any better, I tried the lamb cutlets from the specials board today and they completely blew me away.
The smoked haddock fillet with a mornay sauce topped off with a poached egg and asparagus was a delightful lunch all expertly cooked and presented, coupled with this a superb selection of fine ales and what more would anyone ask for, the staff are professional/friendly and well versed with everything on the menu
We had a beautifully executed anniversary lunch at this restaurant. I ordered the lamb cutlets and they were very nice. I found this restaurant by googling the best places for lunch in Leicestershire and it did not disappoint. Lovely experience.
I really enjoy this pub. I've only started going this year and this was my third visit. The main dishes are exceptional, and they serve liver and bacon which I adore. The staff is also fantastic. I went again this week and for the first time... Réservez une table maintenant

Visited on a number of occasions in the last year. Always welcoming, friendly service; good food at a good price; well kept real ale, including a changing local beer. Would recommend for a visit with friends/ family.
