It was our first time in Toronto and I decided to search up something near by for supper and came across this gem! The name of the restaurant had us a bit uncertain of what to expect but we are so glad we went there! Upon arriving we realized it was a "sports bar" and figured the food would be low quality typical sports bar food but it wasn't at all. The waitresses were so quick and polite and attentive and the food was amazing!! I had a beef and noodle stir-fry with vegetables and it was so delicious and generously portioned. We were attending an event at a nearby hotel and we were challenged to find somewhere to eat. Came across this restaurant by chance as we were attempting to navigate around the rush hour traffic that was at a complete standstill on the Don Valley Parkway!! The service was OK and the food although not amazing met our needs. I ordered the California Burger and my friend ordered the chicken on a pita. I loved the guacamole on the burger and would have enjoyed it even more if the burger had been freshly made and not a frozen generic patty. My friend did enjoy her chicken pita. The smashburgers at this place looked incredible, but they didn't quite meet my expectations. The prices were reasonable, and the service was energetic. The interior decor has a lovely honey-toned touch that creates a warm ambiance, making it a pleasant place to dine.
The service was fine but the food was not. The hamburger meat was 'prefab' and not a good variety of same. It's a nice location and the servers are friendly but unfortunately the quality of the meal I had was poor. There may be better choices on the menu.

For a solid ten years, Georgy Porgies has been around, and it has consistently offered a decent experience. The staff is incredibly friendly and always makes you feel welcome. The food is enjoyable, too.
