I'm surprised there's never been an evaluation of this little jewel. The restaurant is located directly on the Gernsheim ferry via the Rhine. Outside you can observe how it comes and goes as well as other boat traffic on the river. Eating is local... German cuisine. Good, delicious, decent portions. I was born in the area and taste is very authentic. We sat outside in the beer garden on a summer day and watched the sun.
