I visited the Gerst Haus for the first time this past Monday. Enjoyed the atmosphere full of hardwoods and nostalgia. The wiener schnitzel, glazed carrots and German fried potatoes were served promptly and piping hot. The mild rye bread was also delish. What I may have enjoyed most was my fish bowl of Paulaner bier. They had a very jive selection of German geers, Haus beer and some local microbrewery choices. Definitely worth and stop.
Always a great experience! My daughter had the Wiener Schnitzel... cleaned her plate. I had the ribs and chicken combo. I can not say enough good things about those ribs. Great selection of sides, that are equally yummy.
Just like some one told me.... if you visit here for business or pleasure and you don't eat here then you would have missed out on one of the best places in town. Awesome selection of beer and excellent food.

Best German food I've had. Great beer selection, and friendly staff. Tuesday's are particularly good, 3$ pint night on plenty of great craft beers.
Hands down the best food in Rifle. I've dinned at Jays many times and the service and food is always above average. Best food in rifle.
