Getta Burger - Réserver une table

We live on the Gold Coast so it's quite a drive to get to the closest Getta Burger store - which is Underwood - I'd seen a lot of press on the internet for this burger chain so it seemed worth it.I kind of wish that I could give this a 3.5 rather than a 3 - because that's where I feel they are, with heaps of room for improvement.I want to start off by talking about the food. I had a really good experience with the food. I had the "Getta Lot" burger - it had everything I liked on it (but even if it didn't they did do custom grills - many people were asking for them). One thing I found with Getta Burger that I don't find with all burger places is that I could taste each of the ingredients with every bite - it's like they all had their own place. That I really enjoyed. I personally felt the meat had a nice flavour and the sauces were good. The whole burger itself was very good and I was surprised that it wasn't greasy. The photos online lead me to believe I might have burger grease running down my arms - but I didn't. My partner had the same burger with an extra patty (I have NO idea what possessed him considering I'm the big eater) his burger was good too - he couldn't make it through the whole meal. He did say that he would have liked a bit more sauce with the double patty because it got a bit dry toward the end (I'm sure they'd do extra sauce it might be an idea to request it if you're taking on the double patty).We also ordered the Filthy Fries.. and this is kinda where they lost me. It was basically just a few fries - like maybe 30, with a heap of stuff chucked on top - different meats, a bit of cheese, I think I even saw some Mayo in there. So... after the burgers there was no way we were going to get through these - they're an entire meal. It wasn't until after we spotted the sides of fries and onion rings which would have been preferable (they weren't on the menu just on a hand typed sign on the counter). We were pretty obvious first timers so some assistance from the staff would have been really nice and would have avoided us purchasing the Filthy Fries (which I personally found a bit unappetising).Unlike the instance of the previous reviewer - we did receive napkins and forks in our bag which was bought out to us, but considering the size of the burgers, a few extra napkins in the bag wouldn't go astray.I think Getta Burger is already leagues above the regular fast food burger joints (like Mac Donalds and HJ'S) but falls short of gourmet chains like Betty's Burgers and Grill'd. I think the burger itself was large and tasted good - but things like the Filth Fries left something to be desired. With so many printed out notes around the room about specials and other incidentals some help from the staff would have been really well received - particularly some advice on the Filthy Fries being basically a whole meal. I think Getta Burger has potential - but they're in a pretty fast growth phase at the moment so they're still trying to find their feet. If you love big burgers with some interesting flavours I would definitely give Getta a go.

I love trying new burger joints. There's something incredibly satisfying about a good burger. It's almost like a primal experience.I'd seen many reviews for Getta Burger in other locations, so I thought I would check out the closest one to me at Underwood. I wish I hadn't.I was a little worried by the photos that other customers had previously posted of Getta Burger products. They looked messy and clumsily put together. However with such good reviews, I though I could overlook the poor presentation. I wish I hadn't.I purchased a Getta Lot burger and a filthy fries. Right from the first bite, the burger had a weird taste, like something I couldn't quite put my finger on. After a few more bites I realised it was the meat itself, rather than the messy sauce. There was a strange and unnatural taste which I will not be going back for. The combination of flavours did not work. The individual ingredients were lost in the overall sloppiness of the burger.I moved onto the filthy fries. These fries are basically McDonalds style fries with chesse and a heap of meat and sauce thrown on top. Again, the presentation is very messy, but it all comes down to taste for me. The fries themselves were bland and lifeless with a soggy texture and nothing original about them. There are so many burger joints which put an effort into making their fries memorable, that there is just no need for fries of this quality to be served in this day and age. The poor tasting meat and sauce thrown on top did not disguise the poor quality of the fries at all.Add to the experience that they forgot to give me napkins or a fork for the fries and when I got back to the office to eat, it was a very messy experience - and quite an expensive one too.I rate Getta Burger a 2 out of 5. I'd prefer McDonalds any day of the week, and that's not exactly a high bar. Disappointed.

Went here for my sisters birthday a couple of months ago as we'd known about Getta Burger for a while...then were relieved when one opened up shop closer to home.From what I remember the food was pretty good - burger wasn't AS droolworthy as I expected but I did get my expectations quite high from just seeing pictures alone. The filthy fries were AH-MAZING. loved them! The fries could be a bit crispier, but still had the flavours there. The shop is quite small and only real seating space are little picnic type tables and lucky we got there before a crowd for dinner as we would have been waiting a lot longer than we had for our meals.

We've been here multiple times and are yet to find something we don't like. It's not often you can find somewhere that will fill teenage boys! Getta Burger does that and then some! I'd much rather pay a little extra for real food with genuine ingredients and delicious flavours. The staff are lovely and I've always had service with a smile, even when the place is flat out busy :-) Worth it in every way.
