Ghost Donkey offers a fantastic variety of Mexican dishes, all bursting with flavor. My top picks were the steak tacos and churros with chocolate sauce. The frozen margaritas were quite good, though I wish they had more flavor options beyond just cucumber. The atmosphere is excellent. Kids aren’t allowed in unsupervised after 9, but they can stay with an adult. The music was great too, featuring all the best Latin hits. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Ghost Donkey offers a great selection of cocktails and tequila, but it doesn’t compare to the Auckland location in New Zealand. The NZ venue has a much more extensive menu than the one in Melbourne. The small amount of food we tried was bland, even with the added chile sauce, and the overall food options were quite limited.
