This place has positive reviews, so I can only assume they struggle with the busier summer season and standards slip. Despite the places with lovely sea views offering vegan menus, we chose Gianni's, on a back street in town, due to the reviews. We tried to book ahead but the line was engaged (5 times), so we instead tried walking in for an early meal at 6pm. We were shown to a table and 3 menus were presented one showing specials, the other two a folder containing the main menu, a meat menu and the drinks menus. I was happy to discover that they had a separate vegan menu. I ordered the quattro stagioni pizza and it was one of the best pizzas I have ever had. The crust was deliciously thin and the toppings were very generous. It was also very filling! I regretted not having room for dessert, as the chocolate brownie sounded amazing. The restaurant itself was charming and the staff were incredibly friendly.

I wish I could give it 5 stars! The staff at this restaurant are incredibly friendly and attentive, even during the busy times. The food is fresh and delicious, and the portions are generous. We ordered a few starters to share and found it to be great value for money. I highly recommend making a reservation.

This Italian restaurant is a hidden gem! It is the best Italian restaurant we have ever been to, with impeccable food and service. We highly recommend it for a dine-in dinner experience. Yummiest pizza I’ve had in a little while, there’s a whole vegan menu with plenty of pizzas and pasta to choose from. I was worried and thankfully very pleasantly surprised given the 2 previous reviews. Staff were lovely and very attentive. Would definitely recommend

We ordered takeout from this restaurant tonight. The staff were extremely friendly and the food was outstanding! It was the best meal we've had in Scarborough. We would definitely recommend it. Takeout service, dinner type meal. Price is £60-70 per person.

I recently dined at this restaurant for dinner and had an amazing experience. The price per person was between £40-50. The food, service, and atmosphere all scored a perfect 5 in my book. I highly recommend trying the Creme Brulee, it was delicious!

This place had a separate vegan menu which was nice to see. The pizza base however was one of the best I have ever had; the base was nice and thin and the toppings were amazing! Staff were super friendly and helpful. Would definitely go again! Réservez une table maintenant

I went here today and ordered the lemon sorbet, it came with non vegan cream on top, I only found out after tasting it, I told them I was vegan as well. I am really really upset.

Our experience at Gianni's was superb. The Italian food of high quality and delicious. We savored pasta, pizzas, and assorted sides, all of which were excellent.
