May look different from when I was a kid, but that Roman slice is still just as good as all those years ago. Yes the Roman slice. Gino's of Howard Beach is a pretty solid pizza joint, but I can't help but get this slice every time I find myself here. What's a Roman slice you might be asking? It's a stuffed pizza slice with pepperoni, sausage, cheese, onion and potatoes. Yes, POTATOES! it's really one of the best slices out there and if you haven't had it, you're doing a real disservice to yourself.
This restaurant is an absolute gem. I discovered it while searching online on my way to the hotel from JFK Airport, and it truly set the standard for the rest of my trip. I've been in NYC for about three days now, and I haven't come across a pizza that comes close to this one—highly recommend it! The customer service was excellent; everyone was very friendly. I definitely plan to return! And, by the way, they have the best dessert I’ve ever had.
I absolutely love this restaurant! The pasta sauce and Sangria are outstanding. It’s a fantastic spot for enjoying an Italian meal, boasting a wonderful ambiance, excellent service, and delicious pizza and entrees. The desserts are also delightful, and the wine selection is superb. You’ll definitely leave feeling satisfied!

Food was mostly good, no wait to be seated, and portions are pretty massive. However service was very slow the evening I was there and it took a bit longer than it should for apps and food to come out. Had to ask multiple times for the check as well.
Grandma's was fantastic! The staff was incredibly friendly, and all the food was fresh and full of flavor. I would definitely return for another meal. However, the Tiramisu was a bit lacking—it felt more like layers of disappointment.
Truly authentic Italian cuisine! The pizza is outstanding—definitely some of the best genuine pizza I've ever had. I tried the sausage and pepperoni, and it was delicious. One slice was enough to leave everyone feeling satisfied.
Came out from sl had to do a job stopped for lunch eat here years ago food was great don't know what happened from then food sucks never stop here again
