Ginseng Modern Asian Cuisine

It's not bad, but not great. If you're looking for authentic Asian food, go somewhere else. Food was extremely westernised but if that's your thing, by all means. Paid a lot for what I wouldn't consider worth the price. Cantonese Eggplant Curry dish was good though. Serving sizes are generous so that's a plus. Front of house staff were extremely friendly and professional. A credit to the restaurant. For authentic Asian food, don't look for modern Asian food I suppose. As someone who's lived in china and now lives with Chinese food for dinner most nights thanks to the wife, I feel maybe I'm bias, but I was hoping for more than what I got for our $100+ dinner.

My partner and I aren't local to this restaurant and thought we'd stop in for dinner after a long day. It was an hour before closing time, with no reservation and the staff welcomed us in with no hesitation and got us a table straight away we were amazed with the friendly staff, attentive service, fantastic meal prices (we were pleasantly surprised when paying the bill) and the food quality was absolutely delicious. Thanks a lot to the team at Ginseng, keep up the fantastic work and thanks for giving us a nice start to 2023!! When we revisit Frankston we will definitely be back to visit!

Our takeout never disappoints and the service when we collect is always fabulous, we always order direct via your website, so glad you guys invested in yourselves making your own booking site, would much prefer the from our orders going straight to you and not allowing ubereats, menulog or the likes take 25% of your takings. Will always support local and we will be back for more!!

So delicious! Food was extremely fresh and so tasty. Reasonably priced and good serving sizes too. Staff were very friendly and professional. We had the entree wontons, supreme combination, chicken and cashew dish and special fried rice. The food wasn’t too salty either so you could taste all the lovely flavours. We will be back for more! I ordered the Quail and the Duck Pancakes the food is amazing the staff is really friendly, my only issue is that with the Pancakes. The Pancake itself would tear the bottom letting the sauce and other small things to fall out but it's amazing nonetheless. So if you're look for a great Chinese restaurant definitely come here.

First time at Ginseng it's my new favourite Asian cuisine restaurant. The wasabi king prawns were excellent. As was the salt pepper squid the 4 types of dumplings. Absolutely packed on a Saturday night but the service was great the meals arrived without long wait times.

Nice food, great service. Friendly and helpful staff. Great range of dishes. Only lost a star because the ginger hot pot didn't have any discernible ginger in it. It was lovely, just no ginger. Everyone else really loved their dishes. Would recommend it.

First time eating here and will be back. Great food, prompt service staff attentive, without being overbearing. Took first drink order quickly after we were seated, while we perused the menu. Good value for money. Réservez une table maintenant

Fabulous friendly staff, I can't fault them. Unfortunately the food is very underwhelming. Either completely bland or sickly sweet or salty. Small portions of actual meat or seafood In the dishes.
