Okay, this place looks looked creepy as heck, I didn't know where the front entrance or if it was closed, but as soon as I parked and just went for it- it wasn't so bad! Haha. I walked inside, and heard someone speaking Italian I knew it was Italian because it sounded like somewhat Spanish only classier yet meaner? hahahaha) Customer service: 10/10 The Italian man was amazing, and asked me what I would like. I said I wanted 1 burrata, and that I was a new customer excited to try their well known cheese! He told me I was going to like it, and to have a nice day. If you're a fan of gourmet cheeses, and live nearby El Monte, Gioia Cheese let's the public buy from them. Most of their customers are restaurants and gourmet markets. I first heard of Gioia when I found their burrata at Erewhon. I paid 13 bucks fora tub of burrata; at Gioia you pay 6 bucks. If you like ricotta cheese, they sell a large tub where you pay less than 10 bucks.Now I can enjoy gourmet cheese without overspending at grocery stores. BTW Gioia only accepts cash checks
The staff at Gioia Cheese are very friendly accomidating. More importantly, the cheeses here are made with whole milk, making the mozzarella taste so much better than many of the competitors out there who use powders instead. The flavor of the burrata isrich creamy. The mozzarella is very fresh flavorful. Overall, Gioia Cheese is a great place to get the most authenticflavors of Italian mozzarella to your table.

Nobody has it this good. I live 65 miles away from them , but this is the only place I go to buy what I need. I highly recommend it

Awesome cheese I purchased Mozzarella and the Burrata. The texture and taste was out of this world. Used both cheeses for homemade pizza. The lady that works there told me I can freeze any left over mozzarella, it will turn kind of yellow but when it defrost it will be white again. Thanks for the tip I did have leftovers.
If you're into Italian food, this is one of the best places to go. Very good food, and good customer service. My friend took me here recently, and I could not phrase more than enough how nice their staff were. very kind, attentive and understanding. Highly recommended
There Mozzarella is better than any Mozzarella you can get in Italy! I'm glad I'm only 50 mi away but make the drive just for their cheese!
