Gio's Cafe And Deli

I am passionate about Italian cuisine overall, but this restaurant surpassed my expectations. It has a charming, old-school diner vibe, and the service was outstanding. I ordered a chicken parmesan sandwich, and it was incredible, while their bruschetta was perfection. As a chef, it's always a pleasure to discover a place I truly enjoy. This is exactly why I love Chicago. I'll definitely be returning to Gio's soon.

We love this place. Walked in the other night on a dreary evening and were instantly comforted by the warm casual ambiance. The food is delicious. We especially love the meatballs! And the steamed broccoli served in a light garlic sauce. Pro tip: Save room for a cannoli or the tiramisu (or both! made in house and so, so good. Remember, BYOB

Love love love this place and the people who run it. Very friendly , food is magnificent, prices not outrageous, and I feel there could be some history here, you know, of the Sicilian kind. Can't wait to come to Chicago again so I can go to Gio's!

This is a fantastic BYOB restaurant, perfect for family dinners! I really enjoy most of their dishes and will definitely be coming back frequently. The staff is amazing and always manages to accommodate us, even when it's busy!

A friend recommended the baked clams, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. This is one of my favorite spots, and the fact that it's BYOB makes it even better!

The veal Parmesan here is outstanding. The stuffed artichoke and baked clams are delicious, and the pasta is excellent as well.
