Gipfelrestaurant Fronalpstock

After taking the chairlifts from Stoos first to Klingenstock and then to the Fronalpstock, we had a simple meal from the cafeteria, eating outside on the terrace we were quite lucky on this very busy sunny day in early September to get a seat...at one of the long tables on the terrace right at the edge with the incomparable view down to Lake Lucerne and into the surrounding mountains. We opted for simple local food, had the Älplermagrone (mix of macaroni, potatoes and cheese) served traditionally with Apfelmus (applesauce) and the Veal Bratwurst with onion sauce and fries. Nice place to go and enjoy a Swiss meal. Self serve restaurant. Food is ok. Friendly staff. You can get there with an open gondola. Easy trails to hike down or up. Good place to go with your family. They have a nice playground and...goats to see. If you like you can watch the sunset and even sleep on this high peak.

Idyllic setting. Welcoming, attentive and friendly staff. The restaurant service in the evening and breakfast the next day is impeccable and privileged due to the limited number of rooms.

The views from the restaurant are amazing but the food was of poor quality, oily schnitzel and limp fries. I'd recommend taking a picnic if you want to eat with the views... Réservez une table maintenant

Unbelievably good location, beautiful breathtaking view, very friendly service, good food, average rooms, but who cares you never seem to be in them.
