Four of us visited this great Italian restaurant for dinner on a Friday night. The interior is simple with lovely white tablecloths on tables nicely placed within the room. An extensive menu, with reasonable prices. My partner and I shared a spectacular vegetable risotto that included numerous lamb chops that were perfectly cooked. Risotto can be tricky; if it's cooked to long, it becomes 'clumpy'. This risotto was fluffy, tasty and filled with small peas and carrots. My sister enjoyed a 12 inch pizza with prosciutto and olives. The crust was light and flavourful. I have lived nearby Giuseppe's for many years and this was only the second time I have visited them. Unfortunately both times have not been memorable as I found the food mediocre. After reading the recent reviews I was expecting more. I ordered the Vittello Parmigiana along with some wine. The wine list is not that big but I did enjoy the cabernet I ordered. Unfortunately the veal was rubbery and did not have a lot of flavor. The veggies that accompanied the meal were nicely done and tasted good. Th oven baked bread was also very good. What a great authentic Italian Restautant,on King E just east of Sanford. Street parking or park in back. 4of us dropped in last evening around 8 and we were the only ones there...the whole time,what a shame as the food is fabulous.I wanted to try the pizza proscitto added green olives and was exceptional,just like Italy when we ate pizza there. Having driven by many, many times and wondered what kind of place this would be (not in the dining area of downtown), finally decided to give it a try last night. Went with a friend and our 2 daughters, expecting a run of the mill Italian eatery. Were we ever in for a nice surprise!The place was literally empty, the waiter seated us promptly, service was attentive, not overbearing. Lovely touches (water with a slice of orange!) and the fresh baked bread was to die for. We could have eaten that all night. The food arrived hot and fresh and was delicious. We recently were in for dinner with a group of seven adults and every single one of us raved about our meal! Authentically Italian, incredibly fresh flavours and great sized portions. The service was impeccable. Our server was polite and seemed to know exactly when to be at our table while still giving us our privacy to enjoy our meal and the company of great friends. The restaurant is easy to find on King St and (bonus!!!) lots of onsite parking. We will definitely be back!
We were staying in Hamilton during our Ontario visit. We read some very good reviews and decided to Give Giuseppe's a try. Just what we needed on a cold rainy night, Italian comfort food! My daughter and I had individual pizzas, while my wife enjoyed the canoloni, and other daughter had a seafood pasta dish. We all left happy. We'd go back anytime.Thanks!
We returned to this great restaurant tonight and brought two new people. We all loved our meals. Anitpasto, stuffed chicken breast, lamb chops with risotto, steak. All great meals. Interesting service Please go. Free parking. Spread the word! Réservez une table maintenant
