Since the new owners have taken over, the quality of the food and service at this restaurant has declined. Tonight, I ordered two fish and chips with chicken salt on the chips, a relatively simple order. I was told there would be a 20-minute wait, which was fine as it was a Saturday night. However, when we got the order home, we received battered fish and no chicken salt on the chips. Despite this, we decided to serve it to our kids who needed dinner. Unfortunately, the batter on the fish was undercooked and inedible. When I called to speak to the owner about the issue, she was rude and condescending. I will never purchase food from this establishment again!
It can be a bit hit and miss at times to be honest, but what made me write this review was the staff arguement I was witness to tonight (Saturday 21st July) . Apparently the guy with the Goatee doesn't like wrapping Cutlery because it's F g S t and he doesn't think he have to the aforementioned S t. It's F g stupid and a waste of his time, (whilst standing there and doing absolutely nothing else). Now I'm a grown man and yes I swear but there was also a young girl waiting with her Mother and she heard every word. As I said usually good food, but we don't want or need the attitude or the language thanks. Rob Cotterill.
Used to be quite a regular of GJ's takeaway...food is quite nice and pretty good value for money. Only problem started becoming the deliveries...sometimes would be half an hour - sometimes and hour and a half. I understand some places can get busy - but to have had extra staff on those nights would have been beneficial. Mostly had either parmigiana from here or have tried the pizza (bit bland) and snacks. One time my order had been mis-interpreted and i received a different meal.. but they were very accomodating when I rang and offered for me to keep that other meal and they would drive the correct one out asap.

However, the delivery times started to become inconsistent, sometimes taking half an hour and other times an hour and a half. I understand that they can get busy, but having extra staff on those busy nights would have helped. I typically order parmigiana or pizza (though I find it a bit bland) and snacks from here. One time my order was mixed up and I received a different meal, but when I called they were very accommodating and offered to bring the correct meal as soon as possible while letting me keep the mistake one.

I am happy I found GJs through Menu Log. I was searching for a good meal for 4 adults after being sick and craving a homemade meal. They offer a wide variety of food choices. My go-to dishes are the French Schnitzel and Lasagna. We order from here once a month, alternating between their appetizers, pastas, and main course options. I appreciate that they offer vegetable options and delivery services. Their desserts are also fantastic. It's nice to have delicious, quality food at an affordable price close to home.
Not a complaint about the food. They have never kept me waiting too long. Reasonably priced and the food fresh and well cooked. I am a return customer. They make a good home style meal that makes me feel like I’m at mums for dinner.
Nice takeaway, worth giving try. Love the pasta. Value for money Generous quantity Friendly staff, as it was a takeaway not a big order but still staff member came out of the store to handover the food, nice gesture.
Only ever had one bad experience in over a year. Always go out of their way to ensure you get exactly what you want. Prices are fair. Salads are great, as are the extra crunchy hot chips.

This place is a little hidden gem of really good cooked food at a reasonable price. It's not a place to sit in luxury but the food is good.
