"This has the potential to be an exceptional cafe with some tweaking of the decor and the creating of authentic French pastries and cakes. It does really well with the quiche and salad type of lunch, well prepared and well priced and is a popular place and the staff are friendly and efficient which is hard to find these days. The coffee is the best I had this week! My friend said my eyes lit up after I took my first sip! A good sign."

THIS WAS PATHETIC!!!! IF I COULD GIVE YOU ZERO, I WOULD! With four men in the kitchen, still cleaning up, and two out front. I didn't even eat the food, the customer service was THAT poor!!! But what I could see of the patrons still eating, it was ****. PATHETIC! We were all but 5 minutes past the 2:30 chop off for lunch, on a Saturday!!! Which is pretty poor chop off time for such a day, and that is to say that I am a restaurant manager... All I wanted was a beer battered snapper, and they simply said no. But then to go onto push fries under my nose anyways, and push what seemed a stale Quiche Lorraine. Which is a little...

I'm not sure why some of the other reviewers had such bad experiences with Globe - we always enjoy our meal there and have been loads of times (it's just down the road for me). Portion sizes are good and great value for money. The cakes are gorgeous - so many to choose from and different to the usual, generic cheesecakes and carrot cake you get everywhere else. Coffee is good. They don't change their menu - that's probably the biggest gripe, as it would be nice to have a change now and again. Service can be a bit haphazard, depending on the day of the week (different staff on different days) but you can overlook that when the food is so nice. Try the Frenc...

Commandé au comptoir pour le déjeuner aujourd'hui avec mon collègue le déjeuner spécial de la tarte au fromage de la citrouille et de la chèvre avec une salade de moins de 10 $ et un long mac rechargé. La place était assez occupée avec beaucoup de gens qui prennent la spéciale. La nourriture et les boissons sont sorties rapidement. Le café était bon. La tarte et la salade étaient tous deux un déjeuner sain frais. La tarte n'était pas accablante avec le fromage de chèvre, bien que j'aurais aimé un peu plus de goût que j'aime le fromage de chèvre. Globalement Bel endroit pour une morsure rapide avec un café raisonnable pour un bon prix et un service amical.
Est allé pour le dîner en tant que groupe. Ils étaient occupés mais toujours beaucoup de tables vides. Le service était très lent. A pris un certain temps à donner des menus, puis pour les commandes à prendre. Nous avons attendu une autre heure de passer des commandes à notre nourriture qui arrivait. J'étais prêt à aller chez Hungry Jacks. J'ai eu la scaloppine qui était charmante mais qui ne vaut certainement pas la peine d'attendre. Après avoir mentionné sur notre extrême déception, on nous a offert dessert complémentaires que nous avons remporté à la maison. La crumble Apple était hideuse.
Ordered at the counter for lunch today with my colleague the lunch special of pumpkin and goat’s cheese pie with salad for under $10 and a long Mac topped up. Place was pretty busy with lots of people taking in the special. Food and drinks came out quickly. Coffee was good. Pie and salad were both a fresh healthy lunch. The Pie was not overwhelming with the goat’s cheese, although I would have liked a little more taste as I love goat’s cheese. Overall nice place for a quick bite with reasonable coffee for good price and friendly service.
Cela a le potentiel d'être un café exceptionnel avec une modification de la décoration et de la création de pâtisseries et de gâteaux français authentiques. C'est vraiment bien avec la quiche et la salade de déjeuner, bien préparé et bien prix et est un lieu populaire et le personnel est amical et efficace, ce qui est difficile à trouver ces jours-ci. Went for dinner as a group. They were busy but still many empty tables. The service was very slow. Took a while to be given menus and then for orders to be taken. We waited another hour from placing orders to our food arriving. I was ready to go to Hungry Jacks drive through. I had the scaloppine which was lovely but certainly not worth the wait. After mentioning about our extreme disappointment we were offered complimentary dessert which we took home. The apple crumble was hideous.
