From the outside, the café looked inviting, with lovely pointed curtains and quaint windows. Being from Gloucestershire, it felt just right to give this place a try! We managed to snag a window seat, where we noticed a lovely triptych of three charming poems, which seemed to celebrate the café and the writer’s fondness for it. For instance, it appeared that tracking and tracing were not being enforced, and there seemed to be no effort to maintain social distancing between employees and customers. I was particularly alarmed when a maskless employee stood less than a foot away from me while I was placing my order. Have weekly visits here as the food is always wonderful. I am coeliac and they can make all toastie and sandwiches on gluten free bread. Soups are all gluten free too.
Just popped in for cuppa on a chilly day but very impressed. Temped by the broccoli and stilton soup but not today!
