My favorite wine place in Montpellier.Really great service, the place is on the outskirt of the old city center. Always full of gastronomy lovers, so better book before!It is basically the place where to go have an aperitif kind of dinnes, with a nice cheese platter or foie gras and drink lots of great wine. You are given a plastic card and you can go get whichever wine you want in three different sizes - tastin, medium glass or super full glass. So. If you want a small tasting of Chateau D'Yqueme without spending 500 euros for a bottle or 30 euros for a glass, you can have a tasting glass at a reasonable price and still be super satisfied.Amazing!
Absolutely loved this place, so much so that we returned for a second time in two days.I particularly enjoyed the enomatic wine dispensing machines, an opportunity to try different wines without committing to a full bottle. The tapas were great too, and the atmosphere was lively without being to overwhelming. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines on offer.All in all, a great find in the narrow streets of Montpellier just behind the Place de la Comédie.
The staff were attentive and helpful, the food was amazing, we shared a few tapas plates and deserts and were very satisfied. The personal favourite were the couteaux and gnocchi, but to be honest there wasn't a dish we didn't like. The wines on offer were delicious, we sampled all of the local select and were very pleased with the quality. For the high quality of food and service in such a lovely venue it was really good value for money.
What a fun way to try new wines! You can spend from 1 euro for a taste of the lower priced to 50 euro for a larger glass of clearly a spectacular wine! Lovely atmosphere and the 2 guys serving us were super nice. Loved the food - we opted for tapas dishes, all generous enough to share and all fresh and tasty. Main dishes also available. And the loo is a treat - put others in Montpellier to shame!
