This is truly a great spot. Very relaxed and down to earth with a big-city feeling in small Oldenburg. I like a atmosphere and decoration and in particular the very friendly service from the bearded and tattooed hosts (!) - sure thats a cliche but come on - it gives a certain atmosphere and thats great. The food - yeah he food - I really had a hard time to select from all the great things on the menu. Not that they had a lot - maybe 15 dishes each - but it was so old-style and great that I could not decide between Hühnerfrikassee, Buletten or other great german things. he portion was overwhelming. I like food quality, I tried her vegan bowl, the texture was great, avocado perfect and the sauce? I also ordered a burger without eating any sweet for my 2 y.o daughter, but the huh mead was fried in broth crumbs and it was too sharp for the baby so that she ended eating some rolls and that's all? Still a great place but I was a bit disappointed compared to last time: the menu lost much if its charme of local and grandma´s kitchen but is now more standard. That was a really negative change for me. The service on the other hand is still great. Really like the folks and the atmosphere in this place. I can recommend the bar and its selection of drinks plus a few craft beers to try. Definitely still a strong recommendation and maybe they also switch back to the original concept of down to earth food.
Overpriced. 16€ for a normal sized hamburger seemed excessive to me. It’s next to the river which is nice but the tables have a lot of spiderwebs underneath them and in the 40 minutes we were there, we each had to brush at least 4 spiders off of our arms and legs. The service was fine, you can order from the table with your phone.

Upon asking for a table, the waitress seemed annoyed and not willing to serve us at all. In general, the service was straight up horrible. If you don’t want to serve your customers, just close the restaurant, honestly. Definitely not recommendable, unless you want to have an incredibly rude waitress serving you.
I ate here on my trip back from Hamburg and wanted a good burger. I had the Glut & Wasser burger and it was very good. Descent size (if you're not from America) and very tasteful. Location is a bit out of the City Centre but easy to reach.
I really enjoyed this idyllic place. Service is excellent with really friendly staff, organic food is served. Specialties are burgers and also vegetarian dishes. I really recommend this nice Oldenburg
Modern charming inner city light food. Typical regional german food as bio food as well based on sustainable agriculture bio farms. Traditional regional pure german beers.
