One of our favorite breweries! Their Korova Porter with peanut butter is one of my all-time favorite beers. They only offer it in the fall and winter, so when it becomes available, I buy as much as I can to last until the next season. My husband has tried countless IPAs, but Jucifer remains his top choice! They've recently added a covered outdoor area with picnic tables, which is a great addition. The taproom itself is spacious and enjoyable, though it doesn't have air conditioning, so if you visit during the summer, be ready to sweat. Delicious beer alert! Gnarly Barley has truly outdone themselves with their Korova Milk Porter. This creation deserves its own TikTok, a reality show, and even a spotlight from Elon Musk. We've tasted many beers that promote a rich chocolate and coffee milk flavor, but they usually miss the mark. Not this Porter. As the label describes, it's a chocolatey Baltic oatmeal milk Porter that finishes smoothly with coffee notes. I didn't spend much time in the main bar area, as I attended a Queer North Shore Meetup event and we gathered across the street, where I believe the food area is located. I was there on a Wednesday evening, and unfortunately, the kitchen is closed from Monday to Wednesday, so I can't comment on the food. I was quite amused by the door knockers on the men's and women's restrooms—those are a nod to "The Labyrinth"! It was a fun touch. The bartenders were friendly and courteous, and if you get a drink at the main bar, you have to cover it with a lid when you make your way over to the food area. Overall, it has a nice atmosphere.

This is a great spot with a wonderful atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly, and they have a solid selection of unique beers. I'm especially a fan of the hazy/New England IPAs. Just a heads up, the taproom is completely open to the brewing area, but that's common for craft breweries. If you're in the Hammond area, it's definitely worth a visit. This is an excellent brewery with a wide variety of options. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. The atmosphere is fantastic, featuring outdoor seating and live music on weekends. Be sure to stop by—you won't be disappointed!

The people are fantastic, the atmosphere is inviting, and the beer is excellent! Our youngest is still talking about it and keeps asking when we'll return. We really enjoy our time at Gnarly Barley, especially during their events.
