Gojo has some of the best Ethiopian food I 've ever tasted. It 's seriously legit. I always order the Yemisser Sambussa (lentil samosas , which are five small vegan pastries, as an appetizer. For my main meal, I always get the Vegetarian Combo, which is also vegan and includes red spicy lentils, mild yellow lentils, seasoned chickpeas, green beans carrots, and cabbage potatoes, with extra injera (spongy flat bread on the side, of course. Everything I 've ever eaten there has been phenomenal. If you and another person both order the Veg Combo (two orders total , they will bring it out on a single enormous platter and give you an extra green lentil salad in the middle. Gojo is the real deal: y...

I wanted to try Ethiopian food as Book Publishing Company is publishing a cookbook in Feb. 2015 called, Teff Love: Adventures in Vegan Ethiopian Cooking by Kittee Berns: [hidden link] I tried Ethiopian food once before I went here. From that experience, I didn 't understand what the hype was all about and I thought it was kind of similar to Indian food. Gojo blew my mind though! We got the Yemisser Sambussa (lentil samosas )and they were delicious! This was followed by the vegetarian platter. It was great to be able to try all the different dishes, all of which were full of tasty and full of flavour. I highly recommend trying Gojo! And I cannot wait to try out some of the recipes from Teff L...

Don’t let the outside of the building deter you, the food here is amazing. This is a quiet little Ethiopian restaurant with a vegetarian/vegan menu, a nice staff, and delicious coffee. We had the Vegetarian Combo and it was plenty of food to fill up two people. The staff is very accomodating to vegans. The food was so delicious and unique and the restaurant was decorated in African artwork. After our meal we had fresh roasted Ethiopian coffee which was an experience (complete with incense and a carved coffee pot). Come here for a different kind of veg experience. We absolutely loved coming here and it was one of the highlights of our trip! From the menu, we got the two veggie/two meat combo: 22 and 24 for the vegetables and 17 and 14 and 9 for the meats. And number 3 for the appetizer! Also got the traditional coffee!!! Our kids loved it too! Very memorable time and we loved the experience! Great service, great food, great time!

If you've never tried Ethiopian food before, you should try. It has good food and the Teff bread is gluten-free naturally. I like spicy and they make it for you when you can treat the heat. They also have traditional Ethiopian coffee and hot tea. The lamb I had was delicious. Named one of Nashville's best restaurants this year.

The first time to eat Ethiopian food and it was delicious! This place is so sweet, and the service is great. The coffee is absolutely fantastic! They roast the coffee beans and bring them out to small before they make your coffee, simply amazing.

The service here is totally awkward almost every time, but the food is SO GOOD. We've stopped trying to dine-in because of bad experiences over and over, but we get take-out very regularly. Try the combo platter and yemiser sambussas. Réservez une table maintenant
