Golden Fry - Réservation de table

Turned up at 20.04 in the evening and he had closed at 20.00 and was still behind the counter, Wtf it’s advertised as 21.00. It seems changing your opening times at the drop of a hat is a good way to keep customers happy. NOT! To be honest I’m not shocked as he seems to open and close whenever he likes. He’s not the happiest of shop owners pretty miserable most times you go in. Also his chips are sometimes hard and undercooked and the sloppy batter on the fish is something to avoid.

I like this chip shop, but never know what quality of chips I'm going to get. Visited two weeks ago and the chips were excellent, Just like chips should be. Not too much to ask when you pay £1.80 a portion. Visited again today, and the chips were nowhere near as good as two weeks ago. They were like frozen chips from the supermarket that had just been heated up. Most chip shops are doing that now. I thought Golden Fry was different, but it seems not.

We was out in town ,we did feel a bit hungry so we ordered what we wanted ,no from £20 ,4 chips. 2 battered sausages and 2 plain sausage s ,we wish we hadn’t bothered with them ,the chips was hard and tasted different plus the battered sausages was horrible ,even the other sausages wasn’t nice ,sorry to say it gone down hill a lot since ,it’s under new management ,we won’t be returning

We placed a large order for our Social Bowls night at this restaurant. The process was seamless with no complaints at all. Communication from the beginning was top-notch. We will definitely be doing business with them again. Thank you very much. Everyone enjoyed the hot food. Please pass on our thanks to the young man who assisted us. The batter was terrible. I complained about how soggy it was and they said that's how it's supposed to be. I have never had such soggy, undercooked batter before. I was genuinely shocked that they were okay with serving it like that. My dinner was ruined. I will never go back. The customer service was also terrible.

Popped in while passing was pleasantly surprised, although they could do with listening more as the missed Mrs.B's Fish off the order, meaning we then had a bit longer to wait, good job the Fish, Chips Savaloys were Yummy, not to bad value.

This restaurant was good in the past, but my recent experience was disappointing. I received a lukewarm, crunchy bag of reheated chips, and the service was rude. I do not recommend this place.

Really gone down hill which is such a shame... cold hard, old tasting chips. Prices have risen understandable) but portions have got smaller too Réservez une table maintenant

Used this chippy as my usual one was closed, Skin is left on the fish and the batter was thick soft and greasy Won't be returning.

Its our go to place for a Chinese. Tim is always welcoming, as are his family. Eat in or take-away, you will not be disappointed.
