When asked what the best part of our experience was, everyone unanimously agreed that it was our server—a kind and pleasant individual. The water was acceptable, except for my son's, which had some "stuff" settled at the bottom. When we brought this up to our waitress, she explained, "Oh, it’s just spices." How is that acceptable? I really wish we had left at that point, as it felt like a warning about the long wait and subpar food. Additionally, despite an interesting decor, the restaurant was dirty, and it took 30 minutes for our food to arrive, even though it wasn't busy. I have been going to this restaurant for over 30 years. I remember when there when they had 2 live parrots when you entered. Most of time very good food and service. Tonight I was disappointed as 2 of us ordered the prime rib and they were out of Yorkshire… we requested to wait until they were ready. The wonderful waitress substituted garlic bread even though we didn’t want it. At the end of the meal she checked with the kitchen and apparently they still were not ready. Which would have been fine except we could see other plates lined up with the Yorkshire’s on them.We said nothing but I hate being lied to.
This pub is outside the residential area but is conveniently located near highway with plenty of parking spots. Our server was very pleasant and nice. She makes your experience better. Food are quite alright, very reasonably priced too even to consider this inflation era. Taco Tuesday was neat and tasty and we also tried their golden Brussels sprouts which were also pretty good. There are many kinds of wings to choose from, and special deal on Wednesday. This now is one of our go to pubs as children are also allowed.
My best friend moved back to BC a few weeks ago, and a group of about 10 of us went for lunch. Our server, Isabella, was extremely helpful and accommodating, we were seated on the patio and drinks arrived promptly after ordering. I had been here before for drinks after work about ten years ago, when the establishment was called Mickey's, the environment has only gotten better. The pizzas were good, and at a fair price, and they put up with us. 10/10 experience, really made the day feel special Réservez une table maintenant
I used to visit this place when it was called The Two Parrots, but I stopped going because the food quality wasn't great. Recently, a group of high school friends needed an easy-to-reach spot, so I recommended the Golden Pub. It turned out to be the perfect choice for us! The service was excellent, and the food was fantastic. Shayne, you have a real gem in your staff member Holly; everyone was impressed by how she managed to keep all the orders organized. We will definitely be back!
It's a bustling restaurant that's a favorite spot for many locals, which shows just how much people appreciate it. I ordered the veggie burger, while my friend got the chicken sandwich. The food was great, and the burger came with fries. The servers were very friendly, too.
