I've been here before but it's been about two years. And two years ago, I remember the food and presentation being amazing. The service was great. This last visit was different. Don't get me wrong the food was still good. Just not amazing as it was two years ago. I don't know if they had changed or just had an off night, but I was slightly disappointed. The service was still great, but the food presentation wasn't as great. I remember just ooh'ing and ahh'ing over my lobster bisque two years ago for how they presented it. We went Feb a belated Valentine dinner. I had the filet mignon stuffed with the cheese blend. Super delicious. I would recommend this dish to everyone, and I personally will have it again and again. My honey had the rack of lamb... all I'll say is OMG, beyond good. The lamb was so very tender and juicy, but well cook and not pink (which I hate pink meat) so that is probably what I'm ordering next time. We visited on February 15th for a belated Valentine's dinner. I ordered the filet mignon stuffed with a cheese blend, which was incredibly delicious. I highly recommend this dish to everyone and will definitely be ordering it again in the future. My partner had the rack of lamb, which was beyond amazing. The lamb was tender and juicy, perfectly cooked to my liking (not pink, as I dislike pink meat). Joe, the owner, made sure to check on us and engage in conversation, giving us a personal touch that made us feel special. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and will definitely be returning to the Golden Spur multiple times in the future. This is a restaurant that I will keep coming back to.
I left the restaurant after being ignored by the waiter for half an hour. Despite having to repeatedly ask for water, it took a long time to receive my salad, which was warm and had all the dressing at the bottom. Even though we had a reservation, we still had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. The service was unacceptable and I have never experienced such poor service before. I will not be returning to this restaurant again.

Got up and left after being ignored by waiter for half an hour. Had to ask for water multiple times and when I finally got my salad it was warm and all the dressing was on the bottom. We had a reservation and we still waited minutes to be seated. It was ridiculous. I've never left a restaurant before because of service, but I would never go back there again. It was the first and last time.
The service was much better on this visit, but the food was a bit lacking. I ordered the almond crusted sole and when I got it, it was a dry piece of fish with dry almond slivers poured over the top of it. Not at all like what I was expecting. But once again the salad was good.
Transport yourself back to the 1950s-1960s and indulge in the retro decor and made-to-order dishes of a classic steakhouse. The nostalgic ambiance of this era adds an extra layer of charm to your dining experience.
Had a wonderful time at Golden Spur celebrating my birthday and dad's birthday. The owner of the restaurant was so gracious and hospitable to come over to introduce himself and to wish us happy birthday!

Nothing super special but a great comfortable local spot. Food good. Service good. Prices reasonable. Visit often enough and they will know you by name.
Step back into the and enjoy the decor and food of an old roadhouse steakhouse, everything made to order. The ambiance of that era is quite delightful.
