Goldener Hirsch

Location /General The Römerstadt Ladenburg is situated idyllicly on the Neckar. It enchants with its restored medieval old town and traces of its Roman history. The marketplace with the predominantly Italian gastronomy invites you to stay. Here we also find the guest house Goldener Hirsch. Ambiente The golden deer is one of the oldest buildings in Ladenburg. It was only mentioned in 1587 as a guest house in the Chronicles and is still operated as a restaurant. Outside various handwritten boards point to the daily offers. Inside is the small hallway area (not only welcoming here usually lives the dog of the house, but we continue to trust and are surprised by a mahogany room, although inviting with mere tables and chairs. Cosy and above all warmer is the small space to reach, tiled by a round arc. Here is a large old decor piano from the Art Nouveau period. Modified with a large bed top, everything looks like a great powerful scream that takes a complete wall side. Also the remaining room and the wall cladding are antique and fit into the same century. Countless pictures on the walls were randomly mixed. Renovated and modernized are no longer here. The toilet above the farm is very refreshing for the season and the cold water invites and accelerates the processes. Service The black dressed lady of the house bears responsibility for everything. They are both the service, the reach and most of the kitchen. With broken accent is kindly asked, drinks are recommended and attentively observed the tables and reacts accordingly. Food The menu is a bit cuddly, but we already had extensive information outside. As an appetizer we chose the Mexican pepper soup (4.50 €). With minced meat, fresh pepper and fresh chilli. Excellent piquant taste, the extra tabasco and pepper and salt shakers were not required. The baguette was still lukewarm. Continue with Chili con carne with beef chopped meat and fresh baguette (5.50€). Again very well seasoned, served in a deep biolek plate, the plentiful part was hardly to create. The second dish was a few rough sausages with sauerkraut and roast potatoes (8,60 €). The roast potatoes made their name all honor. The third dish was Swabian mules with roasted onions on salad (8,20€). Also here there was a nice part of well-filled mouth pockets baked in the pan. There was nothing to expose at all courts and the special Heidelberg amber-coloured Christmas beer (3,80€ rounded off everything. What irritates us is a constant typical microwave song that did not fit the tastefully perfect dishes. If hot water is made with the microwave, we should be right. Conclusion: A renovation should be taken into account, but the food can remain.

Das Essen ist gasthaustypische Hausmannskost und hätte für Geschmack und Portionsgröße auch ein "sehr gut" verdient. Leider ist das Lokal etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Es gibt einen Thekenbereich (teilweise auch Raucherbereich) und eine kleine Gastsube, die als Restaurant fungiert. Die nicht mehr ganz junge Bedienung (=Wirtin ?) agiert etwas kratzbürstig und trägt damit wohl auch zur rustikalen Atmosphäre bei. Bier hat uns weniger geschmeckt. Export derzeit nicht verfügbar. Die zahlreichen einheimischen Gäste signaliseren aber,dass man hier für ein akkurates Abendessen jederzeit einkehren kann. Man sollte auf jeden Fall ein Blick die Tageskarte werfen.

Dumm, wenn die Gäste dort sitzen wo sie sehen können, wie die Fertigprodukte wie zB Maultaschen oder die Teigfladen für den Flammkuchen aus dem Kühl-raum in die Küche gebracht werden. Erstaunlicher Weise waren die Ergebnisse (die Gerichte) ziemlich lecker, wir als Gäste also ein wenig versöhnt. Rascher Service, der zudem (außergewöhnlich, deshalb die hohe Wertung hier) die ungefähre Wartezeit nennt, sodass man noch umbestellen kann, wenn man es eilig hat. Leider sind aber sowohl die inneren Gasträume als auch der Innenhof nicht allzu gemütlich, sie könnten ein wenig Zuwendung in Gestalt von Farbe und Aufräumen vertragen.

Die Terrasse muss man erst mal finden, doch die Suche lohnt sich. Unter einem riesen Baum sitzt man schön im Schatten. Dank einer Vielzahl unterschiedlicher Gerichte findet jeder etwas. Das Essen schmeckt, die Getränkeauswahl ist ok, genauso der Service.

Das Essen und Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sind gut. Der Biergarten ist klein und urig, vor allem im Sommer kühl und schattig. Das Restaurant ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und muffig.
