Stopped off at Gomez having arrived early on the ferry for breakfast. It was a good choice with street parking opposite and places to sit and watch the world go by. They offer three set menu breakfasts. We went with the tortilla with cheese and ham which was big enough to share. This came with a chunk of fresh bread. We followed this up with two lovely pastries (you go inside to choose) . Including fresh orange juice and coffee the breakfast for two was only 11.20 euros. Well worth a stop.
Although the menu descriptions for breakfast options (both in Spanish and English) were confusing, what we got was really tasty. The coffee was delicious and you could get big cups of it with double shots or so of freshly ground espresso so as you sized up, the flavor was all there. I had a tasty ham and egg sandwich on grilled brioche. And we ordered a waffle with hazelnuts which was really a Nutella smeared waffle. The waffle was satisfyingly toothsome.
We have had a tomato salad with bentresca, very good, recommended by the waiter who treated us very well. the very well decorated place, the food, warm and price very well. We have been very satisfied in general. so we are seeing, in santander, in general the attention, the food and the locals are very well. the beautiful city, quiet, clean. we can only say good words
as a good descendant of saint-nderines that I am I love the sobaos and the cheeses. a cousin brought me as a gift some sobaos from this shop, because they are of the few that make them artisan. They're very good, but they're blunt, blunt. Réservez une table maintenant
classic santander coffee shop, good served with good barmans and servicial, serving fast, has ice cream, good pasta of them, has combined dishes and good sandwiches.
