Just call ahead, pick up your food, and be on your way. It tends to be quite crowded here, and they only accept cash. My go-to order is the Combo Fried Rice, but don’t overlook the wings and fries with ketchup, hot sauce, and mumbo sauce. As I mentioned, it's often busy, so I'm sure there are other great dishes to try as well. Make sure to bring some patience, and I recommend calling at least 20 minutes before you plan to pick up your order.
First time going, and I wasn't disappointed. I ordered the Buffalo wings and fries $11) per the reviewer's suggestion. I also didn't experience any rudeness. Delicious! I've been a customer of Good Hope CarryOut for years, thanks to my parents. One of their legendary dishes is the Triple Delight. Even though I don't eat red meat anymore, that was one of my favorites back in the day. These days, I'm a big fan of the fish sandwich! The food is always served hot, and you definitely get generous portions.
Whenever my daughters and I visit family, we always make it a point to stop here. You absolutely must try the Fried Chicken with Mumbo Sauce—it's a classic from D.C. The pork chop sandwich is also incredible; it practically melts in your mouth! Réservez une table maintenant
This is not the Carryout I grew up with. These are new people and the food does not taste the same at all. Y'all they changed the Mambo sauce ? Don't waste your money! ANOTHER DC STAPLE GONE FOREVER ? Also they don't wear masks or gloves
Shrimp egg foo young used to be my favorite Chinese dish, and I would only order it from this location. However, it seems that management has changed, as the quality of the food has significantly declined.
I think the old owners sold the carryout. Food has definitely gone down in quality. Used to love this spot. Going to the other carryouts I know to have good food although they're outta my way

Just ordered 5 Wings and Fried Rice and two egg rolls. The egg rolls were old, the fried rice was mushy and old the chicken was ok.
