OMG where do I start. Walked in for a table of 2 and was directed to a table and was told that most of the menu was off due to the grill breaking down. This was not a problem as these things happen. Went for a chicken salad and Enchilada. Went to the bar only to be told no Enchiladas as they had run out of Nachos. Ok I said can I have some chips instead of Nachos. The reply was 'I can ask after I 've put it though but I can 't guarantee it ' Now the Grill is broken, over half the menu isn 't available, crisps have run out and I 've have to order not knowing if I can get chips as a substitute? This wasn 't acceptable and we decided to leave the food and drink the 2 drinks we had ordered and p...
AWFUL food! Went for Sunday roast. I ordered beef and my boyfriend ordered chicken. It wasn't roast at all! It was pieces of grilled chicken and beef, as well as veggies that looked and tasted as if it was bought from Iceland and defrosted mid way. Though the plate was hot, food was cold and inedible. We left without eating! The toilets were disgusting. Attached is a photo taken as my boyfriend entered the toilet. I'd NEVER go here again!
I had lunch at The Good Intention Pub today with a friend, and we were warmly welcomed by a friendly young lady at the bar. She informed us that we could sit wherever we liked and order at the bar. After picking up some drinks, we found a lovely table on the terrace. Our food arrived within 20 minutes, hot and delicious. We both agreed to add this place to our list of favorites for the future. We give it 5 stars!
This is a fantastic pub with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. They even have a covered outdoor space with lights for evening use. I usually attend the bi-weekly quiz on Monday evenings, which is always popular and features a wonderful host. The menu offers a diverse range of dishes and drinks. If I could suggest one thing, it would be to improve the apple cake.
Beautiful outdoor area under cover seating area with beautiful hanging baskets. At lunch. Beautiful two course options, very cheap. Good selection of beers. The staff was friendly and attentive. Only for me personally is that dogs are not welcome in the pub (but are outside). Will definitely return. Thank you.
This is a great local pub with good food. My only complaint is that once the barmaid with glasses leaves for the night, no one else seems to know how to pour a proper pint of Guinness. I watched someone pour a pint last week, and it looked more like they were pouring lager. You really need to let it settle!
