Gotthard Raststaette

On our effort to go quickly to Italy, we have planned only one stop in Switzerland. Knowing that there is always queuing in St Gottard we felt that we should stop just before. We were very lucky because this rest area was amazing, looked like...newly built or renovated, with clear distinction of the rest areas, a fantastic salad bar with lots of options and a really unbelievable WC area where only the phrase respect to customers is suitable. With maps on the walls, games for children, outside tables with a river running nearby, seemed like the perfect place to stop. I believe that it was a glimpse of how you can , by monitoring the details, promote customer satisfaction

Eating and rejuvenating during car trips in Europe is often a very negative experience; I am reminded of many trips in the UK where we would rather be in Russia then stop in the UK. This particular ‘stop and eat’ is a 5-star experience. The...food is top quality and varied; something for everybody. In ‘19 do not buy petrol in CH as it is 30% more expensive compared with G, F or I.

Swish, spacious and impressive motorway stopping centre which feels brand new. The loos alone (cost: CHF1) are amazing. The restaurant area offers a big choice of food and is a vast, well-designed place to take a break before you face the long St Gotthard tunnel...and the often congested approach to it. I enjoyed my coffee and ‘Rustico Salami’ sandwich (CHF10.80).

What a good Place to stop. The restrooms were beautiful and very very clean!!! As never seen before. The restaurant super good soup had a good and friendly team of people and a large amount of dishes to choose from. Expensive but good and...honest Food. The whole entourage including the playground iT was all very beautiful! We loved it Réservez une table maintenant

I was in many rest areas, but this is something else in terms of services and architecture. good selection of local food and especially when on the road, large and clean toilets and shower facilities. there to the breakfast to the north and for a...Pit stop and drink on the way to the south. both structures do not disappoint.

we thought here for a meal 20 euro for a small piece of carving and a few riders! 5 euro for a koks and 1 for ketchup! to make something worse, my wife crashed over an unnoticed step and went eating everywhere! tourist trap! go to McDonald’s

There’s a very good choice of food here salads, soup, pastries and a good choice of hot meals. I went for the lasagne, which was very tasty and filling. I did find it was rather pricey though, but I think this is typical of...Switzerland.

we stop here every time we go south or north, as we know that eating in this restaurant is healthy and in best quality. various fresh salads, vegetables and beans as well as excellent coffee! Swiss prices but still moderate. Réservez une table maintenant

Going to Italy, we had to make a restaurant stop. I knew from past visits, that the Swiss standards regarding highway restaurant is very high and we were not disappointed. We plan to stop there again on our way back.

this is by far the best relaxation area I have seen in Europe: great eating, incredibly clean baths and many possibilities of edible to grab on the way out!
