I’m usually a known customer for black owned businesses. And I hate to put my people down but this was well deserved. My previous experience here was the most unprofessional uncomfortable experience I’ve had in a LONG LONG time. The gentleman that sat my aunt table down “Mr black’” should really take etiquette classes or just simple get more women here to serve. His attitude was beyond how should I say this.. SASSY. He catered to men even tho it as my AUNT his wife) birthday. I love giving local businesses a try and when this business came to Suffolk it was on my list to try. Showed up and was given a paper menu and to proceed to the register to order. Being a gourmet burger place I expected to be sat down and order taken etc. Placed my order at register and beside it was all the codiments. We ordered 2 cheeseburgers with fries and onion rings and drinks for $33. Drinks came in a can. Made our way to a table of our choice. Food came in a timely order as we were the only ones in there. Decided to try a small business on my birthday. So I ordered a well cooked burger and fries. Both were not cooked right. Fries were like mashed potatoes inside. And my burger had more pink than pork in it. If I didn't drive 20mins to get it I would of drove back, but it was raining and muggy outside. Ok. Now I to the inside... They had no a/c. I was sweating while waiting 2mins for a online order pick up. They look like with a lil touch up on their atmosphere, and training on grill temps. They would be a force in the food industry. I had the crab cake sandwich and cheese fries at Gourmet Burger Bistro. I'd been looking forward to the crab cake all day, and was not disappointed. It was perfectly cooked and spiced. The service was wonderful. The people were delightful and friendly. We ended up spending about $75 for a family of three including the tip. Not gonna be an everyday thing for us, since we're on a fixed income. Still, if you're looking for a great treat for your family, and want to support a Black-owned business, you can't go wrong! Man, the food was very well seasoned the fries were perfectly fried I mean perfection the homemade punch and tea were amazing God I wish I could have tried the wings since everything else was this good. If I have any jobs near I Definitely will try a few things things.
