First the plus point - the cooking is quite good if you venture beyond the items on menu front pages (in German) and order from the Chinese menu. In my opinion it is the best Chinese place in town in terms of food quality - an observation which proves once more that with Chinese restaurants the standard cultural framework of the educated middle class does not work. Which person with a sane mind would enter a restaurant with the idiotic name 'Gourmet Temple' -- and the Chinese name of the place ('The Wealth Comes to the House' or so) sounds equally suspicious. Also the unreconstructed shiny-tacky decoration and the gigantic aquarium full of tired fish do not instil confidence that this should...

Booked well in advance! Waited 30 mins for starter then it was 2 HOURS before we got the main! Didn't matter how many times we asked they just kept saying ”soon”!! Was full as there was a tradeshow in town as there is every year...but just could not cope! Everyone was waiting, delayed, etc just a total disaster and very embarrassing for me in front of clients. Will not return or book again! Offered no discount for delay or any kind of compensation whatsoever! People were cheering when they saw a table get some food! Table next to us came in 30 mins after and were served before us. This was happening everywhere just no order to anything! Food was ok when it arrived but certainly not worth the...

The tropical fish tank is very impressive, as is the decor of the restaurant. The bottle of Pouilly-Fuisse was top notch (white wine) as was the Saint-Emelion Grand Cru 2014 (red wine). Its a shame the positives stop there. The soups we all had were...lukewarm and tasted cheap. The deep fried veg tempura were covered in so much batter you could taste only that, and oil. Horrible. The sweet and sour pork again was covered in so much batter you couldn't taste the pork. Dissapointing. The prawn dish I had, the prawns were so overcooked they were chewy. Dissapointing yet again. The duck however was not bad. I probably wont go back. Shame as it used to be good.....

My teenage son and I went for a midweek lunch and both enjoyed a filling meal for about £13. We had thought this was an upmarket place when staying at the hotel next door on 2 previous visits, and the lunch price prompted a visit.Pancake roll, sweet and sour soup, chicken fried rices and chili beef were all good, filling food in large quantities. Service was courteous and quick, and the setting is a cut above the average.Highly recommended for lunch. Réservez une table maintenant

I had the theory, "if I cannot find a restaurant interesting in a city where you are stranger, go to Chinese restaurant as it is almost impossible to prepare Chinese dish not tasty." However, this restaurant made me stop believing that. I had fried noodle. Yes. One of simplest Chinese plate almost impossible to make in wrong way. But, the plate I got had wrong noodle, wrong taste, uncooked vegetable and overcooked polk in it. Unbelievable.

we passed a previous night before we decide to eat here, as the place really looked beautiful. very beautiful decoration and the fish tank is a beautiful view, eating was also beautiful. but the personal was just rude. the waiter began to take our order and just walked half through it. al the other customers got a shot with their bill, but we didn't even get one thanks.

Asked for take away kung po chicken for 6.50 EUR as on menu on display, was charged for 11.30 EUR including container of sticky rice that I didn't ask for. Hardly could find any traces of chicken among boiled carrots, cashew nuts and broccoli. Nothing similar to the real kung po chicken that we enjoyed in Chester (UK)!
