It is great, to enjoy a yummy Austrian Gulasch with Spätzle downunder!!! The Styrian masterchef Joachim and his lovely wife Laetitia from Tahiti what a friendly couple! It was great to sit outside and to enjoy homemade Apple Crumble and a quality cup of Cappuccino. The Swiss Bircher Muesli and Poached Eggs with Avocado for Breakfast is one of my favourites. The menu offers a huge variety of low fat and gluten free Curries, healthy Salads and grilled Fish. There are always lunch specials on offer under 10 Dollars. I loved the junky Pumpkin Soup with the home baked onion bread. I`ll be back soon!!
Fantastic service and food, all the fish is grilled which is a lighter healthier option that I really appreciate. Skilled barristas that brew an excellent coffee, which if you match with one of their home made cakes is absolutely awesome. I can highly recommend the home made Apple crumble, as pictured : If you haven't been here before, or it's been a while since you were last here, do you yourself a favour and pay them a visit soon , I can highly recommend the the entire menu.
Hi , I’ve been going to Governor’s Gourmet for sometime now. I had tried many of the dishes on the menu , all the fish , curry’s and steak. A favourite of mine is garlic and lemon grilled fish with beautiful freshly made Greek salad . Can’t say I’ve ever let feeling hungry lol . Always comes with a friendly smile , nice easy going relaxing atmosphere . I love this place , it’s a must visit . . Oooh and sitting outside in the afternoon Cappuccino and cake perfect.
We have been going to Govender's for over 4 years now and the quality and freshness of their food remains 5 star. Their curry is one of our personal favourites. We have taken friends and family over the years and they too have become regular visitors and fans of the great flavour, taste and affordability. The beef curry brings us back time and time again. It truly is delicious. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. We have been coming for many years and have never been disappointed. Please keep producing all your tasty curries. All our family love them. The tandori fish is also a standout with our family. Thank you.
we have been regulars at govenders for the better part of a decade, they have always been consistent with food taste and quality, although now managed by new owners the food is still exactly as we remember it, the staff have managed to perfect the curry recipes we known and love, great job!
