Grafton Village Inn

I live near by and this was a great place to go and have breakfast, My daughter and/or son and I would have breakfast three or four times a week, but since the new owners every visit has been a disappointment to our orders taking 2 hours to inexperienced/unfriendly wait staff and a terrible new cook/chef. The last time visiting the inn I was with my daughter who is a chef. The place was not busy but a party of 7 or 8 came in and the waitress turned them away, She said that they were really busy and that they would overload the kitchen. I came across this place quite by accident, looking for a place to grab some lunch en route to points west when I noticed the large "open" sign of the GVI and decided to give it a try. I was struck by the general ambiance of the place - with all of the best features one would associate with a stereotypical eastern inn. One simply cannot have a rushed lunch in a place like this, such is the atmosphere. My soup sandwich combination was well prepared and presented. Service was unrushed (in a good way) attentive, and low key. Of course, the Inn is far more than simply the restaurant and information about that is at the GVI website. What a charming period home converted into two separate suites (ground and second floors). Really nice renovation, with a mix of historic character and moder amenities. We stayed on the ground floor, beautiful walk-out to the garden. Only two drawbacks - you can hear everything going on upstairs and there is no WiFi (apparently, the owners decided that people don't want it!).

We were taken to this little cafe ten minutes away which we had never known about.I had a lovely bacon and cheese scone and coffee !They were delicious fresh made just out of the oven!It was a quiet oasis for a chat with friends.I vowed to put in a positive review because not many know about this lovely choice! The environment is a gracious balance of rustic elegance. The service was friendly and attentive.The chef is a magician. Even the simple mixed greens salad was "just right". I had the mushroom tarragon cream soup - truly one of the most delicious meals I've had in my life! Will definitely return!

Impressive menu...locally sourced! enjoyable atmosphere love the interior and wrap around porch you can stay here overnight They have several different rooms and buildings....take Station Road straight down and you will hit Lake Ontario! A lovely place to eat!! great service as well

The Grafton Village proved to be an excellent site for exploring the area. The Inn is very comfortable. The rooms have been updated and yet still reflect the traditional decor. Breakfast was delicious with many homemade items. We would highly recommend this inn.

Great food, great service, very friendly staff. I loved it. It is a beautiful place in the heart and a very small town with lots of character and charm. Very relaxing and quiet. Réservez une table maintenant

A group of friends had lunch at the Inn it was our First time we all just loved it ,the food was great and service was excellent ,welfare planning to return
