Gramma's Corner Kitchen

I ran across Gramma's while trying to find somewhere near my new home, in a new neighborhood, where I could take friends to have more than a scone and good coffee. It's a blast from the past, to be sure. Classic diner. Gramma's has a breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu but closes at 2 pm. I love the omelets and pancakes. The equivalent of home fries can be a bit disappointing overcooked and underseasoned. I have tried the club sandwich and the excellent potato salad. The club was sabotaged by processed cheese, but they have Tillamook cheddar, and diners can ask for a substitution. Don't expect gourmet coffee, but it isn't horrible. It's classic. Would give a zero, was given food poisoning from gramma's corner. Had biscuits and gravy hashbrowns and potched eggs. Biscuit was rock hard and the eggs smelt strong but still ate to my dismay. Spent 6 hrs hooked to a IV and still 2 days later not feeling ok. Also I work in food myself as a manager and I do not take accusations of food poisoning lightly, so if I am stating I was given food poisoning; I am not just a disgruntled customer.

The biscuits for my biscuits and gravy were rock hard. I couldn't believe it. Also I got the corned beef hash, and I don't know how this is possible but it was raw. The hash browns were soggy. And there was literally no flavor. I have nothing good to say about what I ordered.I didn't even eat it. I'm so disappointed. With a name like that I would think they would know what they were doing but I was sadly mistaken. Absolutely disgusting.

I was dreaming of this place this morning. I rated it a while back but never wrote. A fantastic classic western American family breakfast kitchen and a real hidden gem for a region where going out to breakfast getting any seating is often a contentious sport. Caviat, we were lucky enough to go at the right time. Worth a short wait though. Réservez une table maintenant

This is a super sweet diner with a lovely staff who are great care of the veteran community. We had coffee and a simple breakfast and everything was tasty. The spot is across from the water which makes it a nice place to eat outside and then go for a stroll.

This little spot is amazing!! Food was delicious. It looked so good forgot to take a picture. Ordered pancakes, French toast, eggs, hash browns, biscuits and gravy, toast, bacon. The French toast we added strawberries and whipped cream. Highly recommend.

Hands-down, the best breakfast/ brunch in Portland, a low-key secret. Staff is amazing. Service is super quick, they go above and beyond. Have been going here for years, absolutely delicious every time

I gave the food four stars because it was really good, but for a place called Grammas Corner, I expected bigger portion sizes. I enjoyed the food but I was still hungry when I left. Réservez une table maintenant

Had scrambled eggs, hash browns. and sausage. Looked and tasted like store bought frozen food. Cheese sandwich $10. I don't get the good reviews
