This was the nearest eating place to our holiday accommodation, and looked quite promising.We were a party of 9, which appeared to over whelm the waitress. Despite have a good selection on menu and specials of the day , the majority of items were off perhaps this was because it was a Sunday evening. The service was slow, and preference appeared to be given to local, presumably regular, customers. The quality of the food was mixed some was excellent, but a medium rare steak and a fish dish we ordered were both under cooked to the point of being raw. We found a number of better places, in Benicarlo and Peniscola, to eat in the course of our holiday.
We had been travelling all day and really didn 't wish to wait until 830 or 9pm to eat so, walking along, we spotted this place. It looked and sounded lively so in we went great! The atmosphere was lively, the waitress was friendly and welcoming and our food was both tasty and reasonable priced. It may look a little too 'local ' for some but we really enjoyed our meal here.
This place looked busy and as many others had either closed for the day or didn't open until 9pm we thought we'd try. Quite glad we did; two pasta dishes and a pizza, two beers and a coke, finished with chocolate mousse which was delicious. Definitely be going back!! Interesting to know that the Spanish tend to eat later in the evening, so places often open 8.30-9pm!!
Nice bar for a morning coffe, Or aftternoon drinks before your siesta, small terrace and covered área the staff can be a bit overwhelmed when busy, and the boss ? does not seem to do much at all , We had some fried baby squid that were to die for so overall nice café nothing special,

Went with friends and we mostly ate from the €9.90 menu. Four courses with a half bottle of wine each. Great food and very friendly service, fantastic value for money, we will definitely go back soon.
Una carta con mucha variedad (y muy rica! y un ambiente estupendo! Siempre que voy a Benicarló, cae una visita al Marrón. Seguid así!
