Gran Torino - Réservation de table

We had a reservation for a Sunday night.Our table was nice, though the AC was quite strong.We decided to take the menu (they have food a la carte and three different menues) and decided for a bottle of white wine, which they didn't have. We ordered another bottle of white wine, which they also didn't have. So far, so bad. The third bottle, they finally managed to serve us...The first course was very nice, the portions were just right. After the pretty disappointing start, we were pleased again and ready for our main course.... which took an hour to reach us..no apology, no discount whatsoever. Je suis venu ici car c'était très proche de l'hôtel, l'extérieur était animé, mais les moucherons étaient partout alors nous sommes rentrés. Les serveurs étaient extrêmement occupés, mais semblaient assez sympathiques. J'ai pris des pâtes, mon conjoint a pris quelque chose qui ressemblait à une pièce de veau avec des pâtes et de la sauce. Il a bien aimé... c'était correct. Le vin était cher car ils recommandaient une bouteille à 34€, donc j'ai dit non et nous avons opté pour des verres séparés. (Je ne suis pas avare, mais soyons honnêtes, cela n'ajoutera pas grand chose à un restaurant moyen). Le pain était rassis, mais cela arrive parfois. Je recommanderais de ne pas couper le pain avant ut...

Près de la gare, bonne qualité, pas cher... J'ai été coincé à Chambéry à cause de grèves, je suis allé à Gran Torino avec 2 potes et j'ai passé un bon moment ! La nourriture était bonne, le vin aussi ! Et les serveurs étaient tellement souriants et gentils...! Surtout Stephen et Basten, nous reviendrons sûrement pour le dîner ou même pour quelques Bevvies car ils proposent également des Happy hours de 18h à 20h.

We arrived around 22 hrs. at Chambery and after cheking in in our hotel near the train station we went out for food. Saddly everyplace we went downtown was closed, until we found Grand Torino. It was open at full service. They have a wide variety in their menu but we of course tried their pizza and pasta. It was great. Service is excellent. They make feel at home. Want to to come back. Having been travelling all day we arrived late in the evening and where able to get a good table on the pavement terrace. Having recognised our state of hunger the service was swift and very helpful, good choices on the menu and a wide range of drinks. We had a varied range of food ordered from pizza, burgers and steaks all where well served and hearty portions.

We had a lovely evening meal here with our 3 children en route to Italy. I had a delicious risotto with grilled prawns. Location a little unprepossessing on the corner of a main road but once eating in the courtyard this is forgotten. Large smart interior. Would definitely eat here again.

Dined this evening, had a nice local white wine and two different salads and dessert. Personnel very polite and helpful. Both wine and fiid excellent. Nice interior. Good value for money.

Les plats et les desserts sont vraiment délicieux. Mais le service était très lent, cela a pris 2 heures donc il vaut mieux ne pas être pressé. Réservez une table maintenant

We had a wonderful meal here. Nice selection, not pretentious and quality dishes. The waiters were also very attentive.
