we were recommended to be an isabelle in the le grand comptoir du cours for our wedding career by a family member. because of some more demanding guests who travel from all over the world, eating was one of the most important elements of the day. in a word. isabelle, the food drinks and the total service were exceptional. the food was perfectly boiled and the aromen were sublimated, drinks were served seamlessly and all the above-mentioned requirements were never a problem. isabelle and her team were very responsive from beginning to end, yet consistently professional, which has made our day special. so much that our guests can still save about eating 6 months post high time and right. a rainy Sunday in saintes, a beautiful city along the charente. we had read about le grand comptoir on tripadvisor, but we had not planned to eat there, just happened it and it looked tempting. pleasant room, smiling welcome, well maintained tables, no loud music. just a few people when I arrived, but it began to fill within half an hour or so. I had the main course dessert menu for something like €15. sauté by schweinefilet with good accompanying vegetables, followed by an enormous version of the bernen belle hélène. faster service. would be happy to go back.

Visiting my father in hospital and took a moment to grab a coffee in town after travelling 12hrs from the UK. I only had a €50 note so the barman let me have my espresso on the house. Thank you kind sir! Smart looking place...and I'll come back for lunch and or dinner!

my wife is always looking for a beautiful seafood salad and this place could supply. also the praised court of my sohnes was excellent. also the Mi-cult desserts were very good. had to mark it up to a 4 because the service a bit. slow

J'ai souvent passé devant cet endroit sans y aller car cela semblait bruyant, mais finalement j'ai très bien mangé et le service était excellent. Je reviendrai.
