A family run business where the boss still cooks himself. Not always open due to a lack of staff, but when it was it was always tasty. There is only one small map, but it changes every now and then. Still good value for money, even with a snack menu. Rustic inside and out. Large parking lot at the restaurant, but still a bit away from traffic. Therefore pleasantly quiet in the beer garden. Always enough shady places. No beer benches, just real furniture and even if the waitress is stressed, every guest is served in a reasonable time, if necessary by the boss himself. I like the Hofcafe. You sit comfortably in a nice beer garden with great surroundings. Service was really nice as always. There is still a point deducted because not a single vegetarian dish was offered on the menu. Of about 12 dishes, 11 were with meat and one was with fish. It's so easy to offer at least one vegetarian dish (which goes beyond cheese spaetzle). But even that didn't exist. So I ordered fish. The entire dish could have desperately needed some spices and salt (fish, vegetables, potatoes), but there are no salt and pepper shakers on any of the tables. You could still tweak it. Very nice location in warm and cold seasons. I've been there several times, always for weddings, and haven't had any bad experiences so far. Definitely recommended from the guest’s perspective.
