Grandma's Pancake House

Back in Shelbyville. This time the stop was Grandma's Pancake House. Today I was pleased with the preparation of my breakfast. Very flavorful. Decided on a spicy skillet. It was all very good. The staff were attentive and friendly. It was kind of busy so this is a sure sign of a restaurant doing great business. Keep doing what you're doing. It works. For everyone considering a stop in Shelbyville Grandma's Pancake House is a nice stop for a meal. Enjoy!

Had lunch here today and got land fried steak with mash potatoes. Menu said $9.99 . I got my check and it was $10.99 plus they wanted to charge me $1.59 for engraving, although it's likely to come with him. I asked the cashier why the price change she said the owner raised all the prices right now..... uh, okay, but it's not posted somewhere?? It was simply unethical that prices can now be increased without communication.

We love Grandmas, usually. I never had a complaint. Today was ridiculous. Waited a solid hour for an execution order. I waited in the facility to observe a solid 45 minutes, sitting food, not under the heat, but constantly cold on the counter. And the pictures I put on are what was the waiting time??? Really? I know it's Saturday, but I've never seen her so unorganized. I wish I could give a star for today's service.

Breakfast is always good. We visited from out of state and tried lunch there last week. All 4 different lunches were not hot. Barely warm. We think the menu is too big to get all the meals out together HOT. We suggest you bring each persons plate out when it?s ready, it?s better than a cold meal.

Lots of menu options. Never had anything bad here. The country fried steak and gravy are amazing as is anything breakfast. Did have fries that were over done beyond my preference but someone might prefer that. Fast and friendly service always!
