Stopped by here for a quick beer and a couple appetizers. Went to the bar and sat down. The bartender was less than friendly and kinda just plopped menus down and walked away. No friendly or warm greeting. There were maybe 3 (at most) other people at the very large bar, and not many people at tables.After a couple of minutes she asked what we wanted and we ordered 3 beers. Unfortunately, the beer I ordered (Saison Rouge) either had an error in the brewing process or the gas ratio wasn’t right. She said it would take a couple minutes, but I saw how it was pouring so I told her not to worry and got something else. We then ordered the fried pickle chips and they were okay. Nothing to write home about. We also ordered the buffalo chicken dip which came with chips. I had none but the people I was with said it was ‘awful’.The beers we had were quite good. We had been to the New Hope location previously and found it to be wayyyy more inviting and friendly.I know there’s been trouble with staffing and such due to COVID, so I don’t want to be too harsh on the place, as I am a big supporter of local craft breweries.I hope they get their act together and figure out how to be more inviting in a seemingly cold setting.Cheers.
We arrived at opening. The floors were still wet but we expected with no one in the restaurant that we would receive quick service. It took over 30 minutes for us to receive our drinks. The wings arrived undercooked. The waitress claimed she was overwhelmed—there were 3 tables she was working. Our main meal was missing silverware and accompanying items. When she came to clear the table and I mentioned I still had not received it and to just remove it from the bill, we were told well it came with the meal so sorry. We will not be returning and would urge others to do the same if they’re looking for anything but a beer.
I really want to like this place as I appreciate the live music, but they don't even have a camp!? as is possible. also the best way to eat in the average. they are best focused on improving food and wearing a few flaky lagers. not everyone loves funny beer. they also need to add some softer surfaces to manage the sound of the tapes. Acoustic is a bit rough, you can't even talk to someone while the band is up. please improve it that I come back.
