I had forgotten how great my burritos were the last time I was there, a few years ago. I ordered a mushroom, onion and shrimp quesadilla. Tasted like something you would make a home. A bit of a surprise. Also a small carnitas tostada. It was just carnitas, shredded lettuce and cheese. The meat was seasoned well. I will be back soon to taste enchiladas, tacos and other items. The young guys at the counter were friendly and helpful. That makes all the difference.
Tacos. All sorts of tacos. The carnitas Mexican taco is a top favorite of mine, its like a street taco. Also their crispy shredded beef is delicious. My mom loves the fish tacos, grilled and fried. Both are great. I also tried their taco salad, with carne asada. That was great too! Lastly, their breakfast burritos are so so good!! And you need to try their roasted salsa. Soooo good!!
Really liked the food here, on par with the other couple really good Mexican restaurants in Long Beach. They have daily specialties that are very expensive. Really enjoyed the Torta, which was large enough to make two meals. Nice neighborhood too. Will definitely return to Great Mex. Let me not forget that the customer service was great.
ask for chorizo and egg breakfast burrito special for 7$ before 11am. generous on eggs and cheese. generous with condiments. free carrots, jalapenos and salsas. cashier helped me pack and carry my large takeout group order to my car. i dont recommend the plates. bad portions and bland. but burritos are good. fair prices Réservez une table maintenant
Reliable good Mexican food. Fast service, big salsa. There are more seats with a parklet conversion, but fewer parking spaces. You are our restaurant for good reason.
Consistent Great Mexican. You can always count on Great Mex for a quick bite. Their fish tacos are some of the best I’ve ever had, and their taco salad is delicious.
The food was delicious. Large small taco stand with good prices.
