Green Man Cafe Cakes

We called during the lock-off 2, so only one pick-up option was available. The coffee was good and perfectly tailored to our preferences. There were many cakes available, all vegan and baked by the owner. They had about four different types of flapjacks alone, along with beautifully decorated mug cakes and other almond-based treats. It was tough to pick just one cake! We ended up choosing the orange and walnut flapjack and a mincemeat-frangipane tart. Both were generous portions and delicious. The prices were typical for coffee and cake in Devon.

We called during lockdown 2, so only take-away was available. The coffee was good and happily tailored to our requirements. There were plenty of cakes on offer, all of which were vegan and baked by the owner. There were about 4 varieties of flapjack alone, plus beautifully decorated cup cakes, and other almondy bakes. Choosing just one cake each was difficult. We had orange and walnut flapjack and a mincemeat frangipane slice. Both were good sized portions and tasty. The price was typical for coffee and cake in Devon.

Unfortunately, there were very few options during our visit today. They had run out of bread and didn't have any vegan cheese, among other things. Our choices were limited to just cake and soup. It seems there might have been a change in ownership or management, as there was no indication of the variety that was mentioned in other reviews.

The café offers a few vegan options, drinks, a hummus sandwich, and two jacket potatoes, but it primarily features meat and cheese dishes. The atmosphere is lovely, and the staff is very friendly.

This café is delightful! I enjoyed a vegan hot chocolate and a panini after taking a walk on a chilly day, and it was exactly what I needed.

delicious and nutritious eating beautifully presented. I recommend the green man salad and I am in the rule not a big fan of salat! Réservez une table maintenant

It's a nice café, but it might be a good idea to book a table in advance. It's quite small and very popular.
