Green Man Cafe Cakes

We called during the lock-off 2 so that only one pick-up was available. The coffee was good and happy tailored to our requirements. There were many cakes in offer that were all vegan and baked by the owner. There were about 4 varieties of folding jacket alone, plus beautifully decorated cupcakes and other almond bakers. It was difficult to choose only one cake. We had orange and walnut pocket jacket and a mincemeat fanipane disc. Both were good portions and delicious. The price was typical for coffee and cakes in Devon.

Sadly there were very few options when we visited today. Run out of bread, no vegan cheese, etc. Choice was limited to cake and soup. Perhaps there has been a change of ownership, as there seemed to be no sign of the choice highlighted in other reviews?

Still some vegan options, some drinks, a hummus sandwich and 2 flapjacks, but mostly meat/cheese. Ambiance of the café is nice and personnel is friendly.

Delicious and nutritious food beautifully presented. I recommend the Green Man Salad and I'm not usually a great fan of salad !

This cafe is so cute! I had some vegan hot chocolate and a panini after hiking on a chilly day. It’s exactly what I needed.
