"Lovely venue, beautifully decorated, great performers. Unfortunately, the male staff behind the bar was quite rude but the female table staff went above and beyond. No food here."

What an exceptional place! I was in Chicago for just three days, but I did my homework and knew that, as a live music enthusiast, I had to visit this venue. The atmosphere was exactly what I had anticipated. I sat at a barstool right next to one of the servers who was fetching drinks from the bartender, and we quickly hit it off (thanks, Sarah!). I mentioned my next destination, and she knew the bartender there. She even wrote me a note to give him, which ensured I received great service – and I did! The bartender at this venue was excellent as well, creating fantastic drinks. The music was wonderful and truly transported me back in time, making me feel like I was part of an episode of Board...

I wanted to love this place. I really did. I loved the aesthetics. The crowd was fun on Tuesday night dance night. The Chicago Cellar Boys played great sets, and it felt like I had gone back in time. Unfortunately, as others have mentioned in their reviews, I had an unpleasant experience with the bald bartender with the long beard. Would I return? Maybe but I would avoid ordering anything from the bald bartender with the long beard. I wouldn't dare to inconvenience him by politely asking for a martini again.

Our server was a little bit too grabby on the drinks. My son and I had old-fashions which really did not taste. Good at all. Poorly made, or poor whiskey. Our server kept trying to take her drinks when we weren't finished lol. Nice try honey..... The ambiance was good. And the music was exceptional. A good time was had by my wife, son and I. This is said to have been Al Capone's speakeasy. Cover charge was $20 per person. Then drinks on top of that. Ran us about $110 beyond cover charge.

A wonderful place to experience live music in Chicago! Full of history, charm, and character, it has been open for over a century and was once frequented by Al Capone. We’ve been here to see jazz, which was lovely, and a comedy show featuring local comedian and puppet influencer Chad the Bird, where he gave a moving eulogy for Tina Turner. It’s cash only, so remember to come prepared! Réservez une table maintenant

Historic, iconic, and fun! If only the walls could talk. Visiting the Green Mill feels like stepping back in time. The live music is fantastic, and the dance floor is cozy and often crowded. Arrive early if you want a seat. There's a cover charge on Thursday nights, and the drinks could be better. Overall, I'm grateful for this experience! I highly recommend it!

The place is very small because you need to do a row and wait, when there's a show they charge 15 bucks at the time of entering and then quickly search for chairs because there's no ha ha and enjoy the show the drinks are normal nothing woah and the bathroom is in the back. Pd: Don’t forget your Id.

INCREDIBLE VENUE. Musicians on Sunday night were absolutely incredible. The entire place is a blast from the past. Bar staff not rude, but just busy. Cash-only but they do have an ATM. My suggestion, go on a Sunday when they put the musicians behind the bar instead of the regular stage.

Green Mill was my first Jazz club experience and I will definitely be back! $15 cover and drinks are about $10 each which isn’t bad! Music was great but it was a bit crowded (it was Friday night). They made me the best amaretto sour! Réservez une table maintenant

If you're a fan of jazz, this is the perfect spot for you. Just be aware that they don't serve food, so it's best to visit when you're not hungry. Also, remember to bring cash, as they only accept cash payments!
