I wouldn’t trust the overall rating listed here. Go with your gut, and when you see reviews on how rude their staff is, you better believe it. I have never been here before, my family just moved up here so I was visiting. I decided to call in an order for my family on the drive there and the guy taking the call was very rude. How he speaks to potential customers would be absolutely unacceptable at any establishment that values their reputation and success for the business. The only way I see this place succeeds is because of the limited choice within the area for the residents. I decided to go across the street and I do not regret it for one second. One lady is nice the other is rude... My wife also went in there one time to get a bagel and the guy was extremely rude not welcoming and no manners whatsoever. Also the Chocolate milk I bought was expired and spoiled. I didn't read the date and took a sip and then immediately spit it out as it was sour. It wasn't cheap either. Waste of money. I Think the manager should really reconsider her staff, the reviews of them being rude are true. They should also check their products expiration dates regularly.
I was looking for a special cake for a small gathering just a few days away when a friend recommended GWL Bakery. Heather was fantastic to work with! She was knowledgeable about her offerings, creative, and dedicated to making the perfect cake. The result was both beautiful and delicious. I really want to enjoy this place because the staff is incredibly friendly, but my orders always seem to come out wrong. I usually get an everything bagel with egg, cheese, a hash brown, and I like to add salt, pepper, and ketchup. In my previous visits, they either forgot the cheese or the ketchup, which was manageable. However, today they remembered the cheese and the seasonings, but they forgot the hash brown.
We were in town for a week and this spot was ideal for a quick meal. We ordered the bagel breakfast sandwich four days in a row! My personal favorite was the French toast bagel with sausage, icing, and cheese, but the poppy seed bagel in the photo was a close second. I absolutely love this place—thank you for taking care of our breakfast needs!
I want to love it here because everyone is so nice, but my order is always wrong. my usual is an all bagel with egg, cheese, hash brown, with salt, pepper and ketchup. the other paintings I was and ordered, they either forgot the cheese or ketchup, okay, no big thing I think. today they remembered the cheese and S,P,K but forgot the hash brown.
The staff here is incredibly rude. I gave it two chances, hoping it was just a bad day for everyone, but it was disappointing. Sometimes, good food doesn’t make up for poor service. The bagels are mediocre, and everything is overpriced. I highly recommend going to the grill instead; their food is much better!
The staff is always friendly and accommodating, and the food is consistently delicious. They have a fantastic bakery section that offers a delightful selection of gluten-free options. Greenwood Lake Bagels is very supportive and actively involved in community events, making it a true asset for the area.
