"Arrived late on a wet Sunday evening and ate freshly prepared squid, padron peppers, jamon and fairly brave potatoes. Washed down with a bottle of local wine this was a welcome stop after a day of delays and RyanAir inflicted problems."

We were recommended this place by our hotel receptionist we should know better as we normally always find our own restaurants. We speak pretty good Spanish but somewhere along the line it all went wrong! Under main courses were what we thought was different...sausages, chrorizo etc, Assumed it to be a hot dish and we were very disappointed to receive a plate of cold cuts along with the patatas bravas we ordered, but no sign of my main course (pork loin). It eventually arrived after about minutes. I and my wife stopped here in the hope to have a plate of tapas (padron pepper and tinted fish), as shown on a board outside the restaurants. we sat and waited while other people came after us, a menu was brought. Finally, a waitress came by and asked what we wanted. we asked for a menu she thought was amusing. they finally brought one who did not include the court we wanted. when we explained what we wanted, she said a minute and then went from a few meters and then stood waiting for other customers. we left. we often travel and eat in restaurants throughout Europe, but I don't think we've ever been treated so rudely if we want to buy something.

The Gregory is a good option to eat tapas in Teruel. Located on the Paseo del Óvalo, the spacious terrace is very nice and with beautiful views. The interior is very small with very few tables. The menu is extensive and varied and in general...with quality products and well cooked. The portions are large and the prices are medium.

We love tapas and usually head for the authentic Spanish bustling little bars with hams hanging from the ceiling and the tapas on display along the counter. This is a brilliant example and if you love the ambience of these unique places you wont be...disappointed. Food is so well prepared and tasty.
