the restaurant of the 4-star hotel grenzhof in heidelberg is listed in guide michelin and serves regional cuisine with flair. whether a romantic dinner is two or a family meeting, the meals can be enjoyed in the cozy main dining room, in the beer garden or in the winter garden. the borderyard is actually not open for lunch, but we managed to get a table last Saturday, because the kitchen was open to serve a high-time celebration. the menu offered was smaller than the regular à la carte menu, but the selection (3 appetizers, 3 main dishes and 3 desserts) was a decent selection of soups, salads, pasta, meats, seafoods and sweets. between us 8 we tried almost all the dishes offered. the restaurant refers to most of its ingredients from the region and even builds its own crooked and sweet! we have enjoyed our eating in the borderyard - creative and tasty eating, excellent local weine, friendly and attentive service. worth the money!
