Groovy Tuesday'S Bistro

We went out to dinner here for my birthday and wanting to try someplace different. Being that I went to culinary school and my wife is a server herself, we are both "foodies". The food was awesome, I was super impressed, especially with the creativity. I had their special that day, the mussels and they were the best mussels I've had. The reason I took a star away is because of the service. It started out great, the server was very friendly. But as the night went on, we started to see more "regulars" or family come in, and our service went downhill from there. The server and the head chef both seemed to know a lot of people coming in and they started to talk to them and it felt like we didn't...

Honestly, this is THEE place to eat :) Wow. the chef is top notch. I LOVE going to a restaurant with a small menu, unique plates, local seasonal specials, and an intimate atmosphere. There wasnt a bit of my meal that did explode in my mouth with flavor. Trust me, go there, order something that you would never order, trust the chef, and be blown away :)

Went to Groovy Tuesday's for Friday night dinner. Service was excellent friendly and welcoming. Wine choices above average. I had the tenderloin which was done to perfection. Hubby had the fish tacos - perfect , followed by the halibut - disappointing. Dessert- strawberry shortcake - so/so. Chocolate torte - extraordinary. Will definitely return.

Since relocating to Barrie we've tried out most of the restaurants but took a while to get here - and what a treat it is! A charming, comfortable atmosphere and friendly staff impressed us first and set the tone for what was to follow. From starters to mains to dessert we enjoyed every bite. We'll be returning for sure. This is my favourite place in Barrie for quality food. I love that the menu changes frequently to keep up with the freshest seasonal products. Small menu, but you can always find something to wow your tastebuds! Small, friendly, and a little gem. I love introducing friends and family to this bistro.

As someone relatively new to the Barrie area, Groovy Tuesday's has quickly become one of my favourite places to go for a good meal. The food is absolutely top shelf and the staff is very friendly. I can't possibly be effusive enough in my praise of this little gem.

Dropped in not knowing anything about the place. Has a very nice casual yet cool vibe to the room. They really care about food. You can taste it. Possibly the best we've had in Barrie.

First and foremost the service here is amazing, its like visiting that one awesome aunties place for lunch Great food, good laughs and amazing people.

The food portion size here is òk compared to other locations.some day they have very friendly staff guess it depends on the day and how busy they get.
