Grotto Pizza came highly recommended by Charlie Angel from the Iron Core Band, who grew up enjoying this pizzeria. Using the NJ Pizza Hunter's app, we decided to add it to our list of must-try spots in Sussex County. The pizza here is definitely above average, striking a great balance of sauce, crust, and cheese. Each component was solid, though none overshadowed the others to elevate it to an exceptional level. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly, with a steady flow of customers coming in for pickups. Judging by the photos on the walls, they've been making and serving pizza for a long time. It seems to be one of the best in the area, but our pizza tour isn’t over yet. Well...

So with the NJ Pizza Hunters App in full swing,we had to add this place to our list in Sussex County. This is an above average slice that really hits on all levels of sauce, crust and cheese. It was solid throughout, but not one aspect took the slice over to take it over the top. The service was great, people were nice and that door kept opening for pick ups non stop. Judging by the photos on the wall, they have been making and serving pizza for a really long time. Seems to be one of the best in the area, but the Pizza Tour continues. Great Job Grotto.
We ordered the crab meat stuffed fish filet special, which was delicious and came with generous portions. We also tried the Buffalo cauliflower bites, calamari, and mussels as appetizers, all of which were fantastic. I opted for a California cheesesteak and cheese fries, and I was thrilled to see layers of cheese rather than just a sprinkle on top. Everything we ordered was enjoyable, and the cannoli ice cream alone is worth a return visit. If you're in the area, I highly recommend giving this place a try!
We just had The Grotto cater our engagement party. The food was great and the pricing was completely reasonable. Todd was super helpful in making sure we had everything we needed and making sure we ordered the right amount of food. Such a nice guy and very easy to deal with. The food was phenomenal.
