Unfortunately we cannot recommend the restaurant. The service makes many mistakes: Placement not in a reasonable time even though the restaurant was only half full, dishcloths were washed out instead. Cutlery was forgotten and food from other tables was incorrectly assigned CAUTION if you have a normal appetite: Main courses come in 120 150g portions (usually 200 250g), salads also come in very small portions. Beers partly filled below the calibration mark We had rather unfriendly service and a nice beginner who brought my husband a beer twice, even though he had a half full 0.5 liter glass. All in all, we expected more given the nice atmosphere. Price performance not appropriate!
Auf einer Fahrradtour sind wir kurzvor 1400 Uhr an diesem typischen Grotto vorbeigefahren und dort eingekehrt. Wir haben zwar nur die Tagessuppe hervorragende Kürbiscrème gegessen, aber unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Gaststube ist richtig heimelig und gemütlich und die Wirtsleute waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.Eine lauschige Terrasse mit Granittischen für die Sommerszeit gibt es auch.
Even though this place is slightly hided away, you can reach it by bus. The food is super tasty and locally sourced. The menu is quite simple, but everything is cooked to perfection. The wine list is very fairly priced and the service is super personal. We enjoyed the warm welcome and will definitively come back. Reservation is strongly recommended.
If you 're looking for the perfect grotto experience, look no further: simple tavern in garden setting, granite tables and benches, homemade and tasty seasonal dishes, local Merlot served in 'boccolino '. What makes this place ultra special though is Regis and Paola 's very warm hospitality. Only a short bus ride from Locarno not to be missed. Réservez une table maintenant
