Very good food, very nice location but service definitely worth reviewing. We had a business dinner with a fixed menu and I find it unacceptable that: They asked us to pay for the aperitif IMMEDIATELY before consuming it (actually the aperitif was not included in the cost of the dinner, but we were actually there for dinner, it seems NORMAL to me that you pay for everything at the end). We spent 35 chf for the aperitif and they told us that the minimum to pay by card was 35 chf (exactly what we spent) and they did NOT let us pay by card... In a fixed menu dinner where EVERYONE eats the same thing it is not possible that if you ask for an encore of at least two potatoes or two vegetables they...
If you are a foodie this is the right place for you!!! I have been going to this excellent restaurant for several years now and it always manages to surprise me with innovative and excellent quality dishes! The chef Claudio and his wife Luisa always know how to welcome you... the atmosphere makes me forget that I am in a restaurant... it feels like I am having dinner at a friend's house with the variant that I eat divinely here. Their very nice collaborator Seba always manages to recommend the right wine to pair with the one I chose from the menu. I could go on writing but so as not to reveal everything to you, I recommend you go in person to try their dishes! PS: leave room for dessert
Beautiful experience. Objective Salute Chiasso staff dinner, at Grotto Croce. Warm and welcoming atmosphere, friendly environment. Really excellent food. We were all very satisfied. I tried venison tartare with blueberries and Baden Baden-style wild boar shank, accompanied by Cantastorie wine. Interesting local wine list and homemade desserts to finish. Thanks guys, we will definitely come back to visit you.
I would say positively surprised There is no waste in food with the brilliant blackboard idea. warm, kind and smiling team and welcome makes you feel pampered. Welcoming environment and friendly, professional staff. Excellent food, well presented, original enough to arouse curiosity, but not upset one's tastes. Frequented several times always with adults. Perhaps it is a little more complicated to choose the dishes if there are children.
